Short Story Draft

The Chain

1. Beginning

There was a rich man named Gladio who lived in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire with his 2 children, Gilbert and Gerald. His wife was already dead because of cancer 30 years ago. So he worked everyday to make his children happy.

2. Mid

One day, Gladio knew that his time will come soon. He gave his children all of his money and will. He hoped Gilbert and Gerald could use the money properly.  Instead of doing what his father want, Gilbert and Gerald spent all of it for pleasure. Gladio knew what Gilbert and Gerald did. Gladio felt so dissapointed, so much that he could not bear. After that he died because of heart attack.

3. End

Gilbert and Gerald become so guilty, they promised to be a better man, but it was too late. They had nothing left. The only thing left was his father dissapointment and poverty that would haunt them soon. Everything changed, they could not bear all of it. They decided to take their own life, joining his parents and asking forgiveness.
