Existensial Crisis
By Isna Nuraeni
Those laughters and those screams
Filling each the corner, they surround me
Those screeches and those squeaks
Alive
What is this feeling, why do I feel empty?
I see you come, but you'd never stay
You tore me apart then you walk away
It breaks me, it does
But what can I say?
If I knew you would never reply
Why are you afraid of me?
What have I done, you tell me
I'm innocent as my existence
So touch me, hug me
Linger me with your warmth as you lean on me
I am the best among the rest
But, still, you pick me as your last
So why did I live for?
When you only knew to ignore
As I laugh, I said, "I just want to love you more"
what does "existential crisis" mean in this poem?
